Pelagia Selje was originally built in 1985, but has been rebuilt and upgraded to a modern factory for both round fish and fillets. The plant produces mackerel, herring, blue whiting and capelin.
As of 2017, Pelagia Selje is a pilot plant for mackerel filleting within Pelagia. We use 100% of the fish, thereby suppling high quality mackerel cut offs to our Health division who are developing products for both human and pet supplements.
Our high quality mackerel fillet products are IQF frozen and great both in taste and health benefits.
